Sunset on the Beach

Twilight has come and
I run down to the shore, not
Wanting to miss the
setting sun as it pulls the  covers
Of the night over the 
earth as it slips away..

The tide has retreated 
from the beach quite far,
Allowing me to step
on virgin sand that had
Been hidden by the rolling 
surf just hours before....
